Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first to achieve a perfect 10 during an Olympic celebration. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics coach who later became her coach later on she discovered her when she was six. Comaneci competed for the first time in the national junior championships, placing 13th. Following that, she was crowned champion. In 1972, in a meet of communist countries junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she took home three medals of gold. In 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. Her debut as a senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champion who won four golds and a silver. She was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female ever to remove the parallel bars with a double backward salto. Her career in the entertainment industry began during her teens when she began doing figure skating alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career in the world of entertainment as a teen. She began her professional career by performing figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performance.
