Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in America. She is an actor or singer, as well as dancer. Her career began with Broadway career performing in musicals like Wicked, Legally Blonde and Hair. The role she played in You Can't Take It With You as Essie Carmahiel won her the Tony Award in Best Featured Female Actor in the Play. Ashford is currently in production on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The movie will air on Disney DTC as an Hulu Original. Ashford will return in 2023 and will be starring opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform the revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that produced Hamilton. Ashford was Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, inspired by the scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. For two seasons, she played a prominent role in the hit show on CBS called B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the originating part of Lauren in Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway credits. Ashford splits her life between Los Angeles & New York. Her birthplace was in Denver & raised there.
